Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-01-01 Last updated: 2026-05-10
These Terms of Service define the conditions for using PantryMix. By using the service, users agree to these terms.

Scope and controlling version

These terms govern your use of PantryMix. The Japanese version is the controlling version to the extent permitted by mandatory local law; translations are provided for convenience.

Accounts

You are responsible for managing your account credentials and may not transfer, lend, or share accounts. We may decline registration or suspend accounts if these terms are violated.

Fees, renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Paid plans are billed through App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Planned prices are PRO: JPY 300/month or JPY 2,700/year, and Family: JPY 480/month or JPY 4,320/year, tax included; final prices appear before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically and must be canceled in the relevant store at least 24 hours before the next renewal date to stop renewal. Refunds follow App Store or Google Play procedures. PantryMix does not receive your full credit card number.

Acceptable use

You agree not to break applicable laws, place excessive load on our systems, gain unauthorized access, reverse engineer the app, harvest other users' information, impersonate another person, or interfere with service operation.

Third-party information and user content

If you register, share, or invite family member or other third-party information, you must have the required consent or lawful authority. You retain rights in recipes, list items, and other content you submit, and grant us a non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, and process that content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the service.

Service changes and discontinuation

We may suspend, modify, or discontinue all or part of the service for maintenance, updates, security, outages, legal requirements, business needs, or events outside our reasonable control. If we discontinue the entire service or paid features for operator-side reasons, we will take reasonable prorated refund or alternative measures for prepaid unused periods, which may require app store procedures.

Account suspension and termination

For serious violations, abuse, security risks, or legal/public authority requests, we may suspend or close accounts without prior notice. For minor or remediable issues, we will provide a reasonable notice period and act if the issue is not corrected. You may object or request account deletion through the contact form.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law. PantryMix supports food stock, shopping, and recipe management; it is not medical, nutrition, or food safety advice. Expiry, food safety, allergy, nutrition, and health-impact decisions remain your responsibility.

Limitation of liability

Except for intent or gross negligence, our liability is limited to ordinary and direct damages actually incurred. Liability limits do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence. Otherwise, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, except for liability that mandatory law does not allow us to limit.

Changes

We may update these terms. The updated version takes effect when posted in the service or on this website.

Anti-social forces

You represent that you and your related parties are not anti-social forces. If this representation is breached, the operator may suspend use of the service and terminate the agreement without notice.

Use by minors

Minors must obtain consent from a parent or other legal representative before using the service or purchasing paid plans. Contracts made without required consent may be subject to cancellation under applicable law.

No assignment

You may not assign, transfer, pledge, or otherwise dispose of your rights, obligations, or contractual status under these terms without the operator’s prior written consent.

Severability

If any provision or part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions and parts remain effective. The parties will discuss in good faith replacing the invalid or unenforceable portion with an effective and enforceable one.

Notices

Notices from the operator may be made in the service, on this website, or by email to your registered address, and take effect when sent or posted. Notices from users should be sent through the contact form or the email address specified in these terms, and take effect when received by the operator.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Yokohama District Court is the agreed court of first instance, except where consumer contract venue rules allow a court with jurisdiction over your address, or where mandatory law in your country or region of residence applies.
