User Guide

Settings

This guide covers app settings and account tasks such as language, profile, login information, and categories. You can reach them from the settings screen.

1Switch the language

From Settings > General > Language, you can choose the display language. In addition to “Follow system settings,” PantryMix supports Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean, and switches as soon as you choose.

With “Follow system settings,” the app follows your device language. If you pick a specific language, the app keeps that language even when you change the device language.

2Profile and avatar

Tap the profile card at the top of the settings screen to edit your name and avatar. Choose an avatar from the provided emoji, or set one from a device photo (photos require PRO or Family).

While in guest mode, only the avatar is stored on the device, and it syncs to the cloud once you sign in. In a shared family group, this makes it clear who added each item.

3Change your email address

You can change your email address from “Login info” on the profile edit screen. Enter your current password to verify it is you, then enter the confirmation codes sent to both your old and new addresses in order to complete the change.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, in-app email change is not supported — please change it on that provider.

4Change or reset your password

From “Login info” on the profile edit screen, verify your current password and change it to a new password of at least 10 characters.

If you forgot your password and cannot sign in, use “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen to receive a reset link by email, then return to the app to set a new password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, there is no in-app password, so this option is not shown.

5Edit categories

From Settings > General > Edit categories, you can add, rename, reorder, and delete the categories that organize stock (such as vegetables, meat, and seasonings). Reorder by drag and drop, and the order is reflected directly in the stock list.

When you delete a category, its items move to “Uncategorized” — the items themselves are not removed.
